Communications
The Communications Subcommittee (Comms for short) is the central information distribution arm of the DPCC, responsible for distributing information to the general public, updating social media, and handling requests from the public and news media. We are also typically the first point of contact for someone interested in or wanting help from the Democratic Party of Craighead County. We can assist other DPCC members or subcommittees in producing and formatting information, whether for an external or internal (that is, DPCC-only) audience.

Join Communications
Currently, Communications runs the social media for the committee. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik ok, and our website. Communications also maintains the committee web presence (you are here!), promotes meetings and events. We work in Slack. To join Communications, you need to be a member in good standing in the committee (you can join the committee in a variety of ways and and then confirm this with our Secretary) and then reach out to us on Slack to be added to our committee channels.
If you want to help us out with content but don’t have time to join, we’re happy to receive tips and promote events by members as long as they align with our values! Contact us here.
