Be a Voter
Voting in every election is important. It’s the key to deciding what decisions will ultimately be made in our government at all levels-federal, state, and local. The Democratic Party supports the Right to Vote as our most important right, the one on which all our other rights hinge, and we encourage every eligible voter to register and make their voices heard.
Arkansas does not have any online voter registration options. You must fill out a voter registration form and have it turned in to the County Clerk’s Office. You can pick one up at several locations in your city or simply print one off here! You can also register at Democratic Party of Craighead County meetings or events—we’ll even be glad to mail it for you!

Watch for Local Elections
You can stay up to date about any approaching elections by regularly checking the Craighead County Elections website, which lists elections and important dates. Offices like School Board, City Council, Quorum Court, and other local positions will be listed here, along with information voters can use to do research.
How to Check Your Voter Registration
Arkansas has a tool that allows every registered voter to look up their voter registration to make sure it’s active and up to date called Voter View. Using Voter View regularly will help you avoid problems when you go to vote.
- Visit voterview.ar-nova.org/voterview.
- Type in your first name, last name, and date of birth.
The site will show you your voter registration, including your full name, your address used to determine your districts and where you vote, your political party (if you declared one; it’s optional in Arkansas), and your voting precinct.
If any of your information is incorrect (like misspelled names) or out of date, you can call the Craighead County Clerk’s office. They are ready and willing to get your information correct. Incorrect information, like old addresses, can sometimes cause problems when trying to vote. Identifying and fixing these issues early is key to avoiding being denied ballot access.
Voter View also allows you to see your Early Voting locations, Election Day Polling Centers, and when there’s an election you can vote in, Sample Ballots so you can research and prepare for casting your vote. At the bottom of the page, there’s also a semi-hidden section for Districts you can expand to see every district you’re in and all the different offices you can vote for if there’s a contested election. It includes:
- Congressional District
- County Division
- Court of Appeals District
- District Court
- Judicial District
- Justice of the Peace District (Quorum Court)
- Municipality (City)
- School District
- School District Zone
- State Representative District
- State Senate District
If you type in your information and don’t find your Voter Registration, it doesn’t mean anything is wrong! But it does mean it’s time to call the Craighead County Clerk’s office and check to see what might be causing the issue. We encourage you to check your voter registration regularly.
